Sonney Reaches Out to Local Veterans
HARBORCREEK - Beginning this Thursday, May 15, state Rep. Curt Sonney (R-Harborcreek) will host a monthly outreach event at his two district offices for veterans in and around the 4th Legislative District.

“I wanted to do something for the men and women who have served our country,” Sonney said. “This will be a great opportunity for my staff and me to not only get to know some of our finest constituents, but assist them with individual issues.”

Representatives from the state office of the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) will be in Sonney’s district offices the third Thursday of each month from 9-11 a.m. Assistant Service Director Rob Casto will be answering veterans’ questions at his Harborcreek office, located in the K-Mart Plaza, 4457 Buffalo Road, Erie. Casto’s counterpart, Randy Gray, will be meeting with veterans the same day at the same time in Sonney’s Corry office, located at 434 North Center St.

“At the outset, we will meet with veterans on a walk-in basis as opposed to making appointments. This will be a great opportunity for all veterans to ask specific questions or get information on programs that are available to them.”

The 4th District consists of the City of Corry; the townships of Amity, Concord, Greene, Greenfield, Harborcreek, Leboeuf, North East, Union, Venango, and Wayne; and the boroughs of Elgin, Mill Village, North East, Union City, Wattsburg and Wesleyville.
