Sonney to Host Veterans Outreach Events
HARRISBURG – Veterans in and around the 4th Legislative District who have individual questions are being offered two opportunities each month to have them answered, thanks to state Rep. Curt Sonney (R-Harborcreek), who will be hosting outreach events at his two district offices.

“I wanted to do something for the more than 23,000 men and women in Erie County who have served our country,” Sonney said. “This is also a great opportunity for my staff and me to not only get to know these local heroes, but to also assist them with individual issues.”

Assistant Service Director Rob Castro from the state office of the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) will be in Sonney’s Harborcreek district office, located in the K-Mart Plaza, 4457 Buffalo Road, Erie, the first Thursday of every month, from 9 a.m. to noon. Director Randy Gray of the VFW will answer veterans’ questions at Sonney’s Corry office, located at 434 North Center St., the third Thursday of every month, during the same time frame.

“This is a great opportunity for all veterans to not only ask individual questions but get information on programs that are available to them,” Sonney added.

The 4th District consists of the City of Corry; the townships of Amity, Concord, Greene, Greenfield, Harborcreek, LeBoeuf, North East, Union, Venango, and Wayne; and the boroughs of Elgin, Mill Village, North East, Union City, Wattsburg and Wesleyville.

Questions about this or any legislative issue may be directed to Sonney’s Corry office at (814) 664-9126 or his Harborcreek office at (814) 897-2080.
