Sonney to Host Senior Citizen Legal Seminars
HARBORCREEK – State Rep. Curt Sonney (R-Harborcreek) will once again be partnering with Northwestern Legal Services to present a series of Older Wiser seminars in August for senior citizens in Erie County. As always, these seminars are held free of charge and no pre-registration is required.

“Northwestern Legal Services does a great job presenting this vital information to seniors, their families and caregivers,” Sonney said. “Identity theft discussions are timely, because of the unfortunate number of scams that are in the news. Seminars on nursing care and medical assistance are also very important, especially for anyone who may be on the verge of having to make difficult life decisions.”

The dates and locations of these free seminars are as follows, with the subject of discussion in parentheses:

•  Thursday, Aug. 6 - 10 a.m., Harborcreek Senior Center, Harborcreek Township Building, 5601 Buffalo Road, Harborcreek (identity theft).
•  Tuesday, Aug. 11 - 10 a.m., North East Senior Center, 50 East Main St., North East (identity theft).
Tuesday, Aug. 18 - 10 a.m., Corry Senior Center, 25 S. 1st Ave., Corry (nursing homes and medical assistance).
•  Thursday, Aug. 20 - 9:30 a.m., Union City Senior Center, 27 Johnson St., Union City (nursing homes and medical assistance).

Questions about this or any legislative issues may be directed to Sonney’s Corry office at (814) 664-9126, or his Harborcreek office at (814) 897-2080.
