Pennsylvania is fortunate to be the benefactor of past conservationists who understood the importance of preserving land for the creation of state parks. Thanks to those efforts, the Commonwealth is home to 121 state parks, which has resulted in a state park located within approximately 25 miles from every person in the state.

I would like to take this opportunity to remind motorists that with the start of 2017, PennDOT is no longer issuing license plate stickers when drivers renew their vehicle registrations. By eliminating the sticker, taxpayers will realize a cost savings of $1.1 million per year, and it is estimated an additional $2 million will be saved in mailing costs.
